this baby girl was stubborn. i had lots of preterm labor, but she was determined to stay put. luckily my dr. set up an induction date. i went in at 630 in the morning. i was at a 5 and 90% effaced. 

they asked me all of the registration questions, got us in a room, and hooked up my iv. my dr came in and broke my water at 8.  things went really fast after this point. they started pitocin on the lowest dose and let the contractions begin. i asked for an epidural and they called the dr to come. 

about a half hour i started to feel the contractions really strong and told the nurse to rush my epidural. they got me to the edge of the bed and paged him to come.  we waited for quite some time and he never showed. i was feeling really uncomfortable at this point and asked the nurse to check me. she really wanted to wait until the epidural was in so we kept waiting. it turns out the dr skipped my room. the nurse eventually found him and sent him to our room.

i got the epidural. at this point i told the nurse that i need to push. she checked me and sure enough i was at a ten. the epidural was not kicking in yet and i could feel everything. they paged my dr and told me not to start pushing. easier said than done. i was super uncomfortable.... 

after twenty minutes of pushing baby girl was here.  10:03 weighing 8lbs 3 oz. 21.5inches long. the epidural had only worked on my legs and i felt all of it. i was very grateful it was a fast delivery. only two hours from start to finish.
